I have to wear yucky custom made shoes. They are not attractive, believe me.
This picture hangs on the wall where I go to purchase my ugly shoes.

Oh yes, we need to realize that we are blessed. Also I am amazed at the process science has made in helping amputees walk! What a wonderful world we live in.
Good morning Sally, I so want to hear from you that all went well as can be with your surgery. Still praying.
Your post is a great point. I don't think the shoes are that unattractive.
I love your positive attitude.

That is so true! I'll tell you that after walking miles in Germany recently, my feet were really hurting. I think I should have bought some real orthopedic shoes before leaving! Sally

Just stopping in for a visit to check on you... still not blogging. One of these days I'll get back to it. Hope you are improving everyday. Well, at least your socks match your shoes, huh? Shame they didn't come in blue for you. ;-)

Well said Miss Sally! I see you've retained your sense of humor!!
Just heard about your surgery from another bloggy friend. Please know I'm praying for you today! :) Have a blessed and beautifully blue week in His arms! :)
Hi Sal!
Many thoughts about the running person from your picture...
And I hope your health is better.
I give you my prays.
Best wishes,
AnnA
I love your cuteness, kind heart, sweet spirit and sense of humor.
Those shoes aren't that bad at all, Sally girl.
What's that old saying..."I felt sorry I had no shoes until I met a man that had no feet."...well, something like that. :)
I am anxious to hear how your surgery went and how you are doing.
xoxo bj
Inspiring photos! It does make you thankful for what you do have, even if not 'perfect'. Do you wear these as a result of diabetes? We have several diabetics in our family(on both my husbands and my side) and some of them wear specially made shoes similar or like this.
Thanks for a great post,
Nancy
Oh my-what an inspirational post. I can't imagine being like that-we do need to count our blessings!!!
Oh Sally, your in my thoughts and prayers. Your darling granddaughters are doing a terrific job of taking cake of your blog party. You will be very proud of them when your out of ICU and hear all about them. Love your sense of humor about the yucky shoes. Hope to hear your up and better soon.

Thank you for hosting. I'm a new follower, and I hope to hear good news from the hospital soon!
I need your help.
I have a page on my site that lists more than 300 hops, memes, and photo challenges… some for each day of the week. Yours is listed there, too! I'm trying to update the list to include a brief phrase describing each link. Can you sum yours up... hopefully in a dozen words or less? Check under the header for the link to that page.

I don't think they look so bad, Dear. I wear comfortable shoes myself. Your sure do have little feet!
I like the way you set this post up. The shoes are good for you so you may enjoy comfort. I like the photo you display. It gives each one of us something else to think about. Life is not always comfortable. I thank you for this post and I pray for healing for you after the surgeries. Anne
