Today is our 54th wedding anniversary! Yes, on July 7, 1958, Johnny and I married. I had just turned 17, and Johnny had just turned 20. I'll save you the math. I'm 35 years old! Johnny is MUCH older!

People said it would never last! Oh, but it has lasted and lasted!

When I awoke this morning, he had this card and bunch of roses waiting for me.



It was too hard to get a quick shot of the card and roses together, but this is good enough to share.



I sure picked a winner, didn't I?

A few weeks ago, at Hobby Lobby, the shelves were stuffed with decorations available for the 4th of July celebration. (They're much emptier now.)

Of course, there's plenty of beautiful American Blue.
I was looking for an Uncle Sam to put in an apothecary jar.
However, they were either too small or too wide, so they wouldn't fit right.



Once again, I did not purchase anything. I guess I'm pretty picky!



Here's a Blue and white striped tent set up to sell fireworks.



More Blue can be found inside the tent. The fireworks had not yet been set out for display.




Johnny went back on another day when the shelves were stocked. He took this shot.

Our firstborn granddaughter, Lauren Elise, was married this past Friday to her love, Christian.
What a special time we all had! Christian's favorite color is . . . you got it: Blue!

Lauren chose purple and Blue for their wedding colors.
The bride's attendants and family wore purple, and the groom's attendants and family wore Blue.











The wedding took place at Grace Family Church.
Our talented daughter-in-law, (Lauren's mother, Sharon) designed the setting.

We were shopping at Macy's and look at the beautiful Blues we found!
This serveware was labeled "Simply Designz, Parisian Blue."

I took Johnny's cell and snapped, snapped away so that I could show you.



Then, I came close to drooling when I spotted these Blue Waterford flutes.
I checked the price. Hang on to your hats . . . it is $160.00 for the pair!




No, I did not buy these beauties, but I sure did enjoy seeing them. Truth be told, I do not need the flutes.
I have these etched, Blue glasses at home, and they're quite a bit cheaper.

Decades ago, I got this set of eight for S&H green stamps. Remember those?
They came free when you bought groceries!

Blue Monday - Looking for Blue

Johnny and I ate at a restaurant recently, and as usual, I was on the lookout for blue. Of course, I found a bit; Blue is everywhere!

Now, for a test. Look at the picture below. Do you see Blue?






How many Blues did you see? If you saw only one, look again.





Clearly, there are two Blues, just waiting to be seen and appreciated!
Some may see a third blue in the first shot. It's a reflective light on the back of the booth.
