Blue Monday - Bluebird Houses

Welcome! It's Blue Monday! For instructions, just click here.

Please recheck your link.

Check back to make certain that you have visited all the Blue participants. Wish them a Happy Blue Monday! If it's too much for one day, come back later in the week.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There was an interesting story in the Tampa Bay Times this past Thursday. Louis Nipper has built 266 bluebird boxes and placed them along the 46-mile span of the Withlacoochee State Trail. Because of his efforts, bluebirds are now frequently seen in the area.
"They're beautiful," he said. "I love their vibrant blue color."
He sounds like a guy well suited for Blue Monday!
I got this picture of an Eastern Bluebird from here.
Here Mr. Nipper is seen checking for bluebird eggs in one of the houses he built.
He keeps track of the number of eggs. Here you see three beautiful Blue eggs.
That is so cool. I love your little blue bird shot. So cool that he brought the blue bird back to your area. That is not something you normally think about. I am glad he to the initiative and gave your community the opportunity to enjoy them.
Thanks for sharing. And thanks for Blue Monday.
Love ya,
Sherry
Good for him. I love bluebirds, too. The squirrels gnawed away at the hole in our bluebird house making it unsafe for the birds. We need to get another one for next year.
Happy Blue Monday, dear Sally.♥ Thank you for hosting.
What a neat thing for him to do! I think we had one of those in our yard the other day, though I didn't get a good enough look to be sure.
I very rarely see bluebirds where I live, Sally. They are beautiful birds,and I'm glad people help them propagate by providing them with houses.
Happy Blue Monday!
Hi Sally, I commented last night and Google didn't accept it when I tried to Publish. Anyway, we are glad to be home and sort of back to normal. It is in the low to mid 80's here. Perfect weather with some rain.
Yes, Ashley can really jump. She is amazing. Of course at 5' 11" she has a good start. HA!
I love your bluebird post today. My favorite bird to admire. I am going back to read the article. The guy who does all of this is quite devoted to his hobby.
Happy Blue Monday Sally.
Hugs, Jeanne
