Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.
Some use this holiday as the celebration of the unofficial start of summer. Grills are fired up, families and friends get together, and hot dogs and hamburgers are enjoyed. I found this Blue grill on the internet.

This is a day to stop and reflect on why we have it as well as rest day.Mine will be simple, having breakfast at IHop,get gas, play bingo with seniors, and mow my yard. Now, it just does not get much more exciting than that. Have a good day Sally.

Hi Sally, We have had 4 wonderful days with our grands and children. We leave for home in the morning. Ashley received money for her grad celebration and we took her shopping today. I mean ALL day. She is shopping for college in the fall. I had to take a nap when we arrived home at dinner time. Yep...dinner time. A fun day. We celebrated the day with pizza. Our bbq was yesterday for our grands grad party.
Your post is a lovely tribute to our armed forces veterans. They deserve to be honored. Hope your Memorial Day was a happy one.
