What's for Lunch? Part 1

Gollum at Designs by Gollum is hosting a Foodie Friday.

Go to her place to join in the fun!

One of my husband's favorite restaurants is Scruby's Bar-B-Q. They have a great way of bringing in happy customers. If you are seated before 12:00 noon, each person will receive $2.00. In addition, they have daily specials.

Their menu shows that their prices are reasonable, and I can vouch that the food and service are terrific.

Johnny ordered a pork plate. It came with sliced pork, cole slaw, french fries, and garlic bread--all for $6.79. However, the day we went, it was the daily special, and it cost $5.59. The giant drink is $2.00 and is refillable.

It's a good idea for these hard economic times! On Monday, I'll show you what I had!

I can taste it from here Sally! Seeing that plate reminds me of my favorite BBQ joint back home in Kansas City. It's called Arthur Bryants. Yummo! What a drink that is too LOL! Have a great day my friend.

That's a twist -- a restaurant that gives you money!

I haven't found good BBQ in SC -- I miss the BBQ in TX.

Hi Sally,
That is very unusual. Bet it gets them lots of business so it is probably pretty clever!

What a Deal; getting paid to eat out! Scruby's must be a local place and not a chain; I've never heard of them before.
Does the food taste as good as it looks? I love eating out!

That's indeed very reasonable for such a meal !

They actually give you $2! Wow...that's incentive to go there for that reason alone! BBQ is one of my favorite foods ever...just sometimes hard to find a good place to eat it.

Sally, my dh would love that pork plate. I usually order BBQ beef sandwich or ribs. This is making me hungry for BBQ. Too bad I can't go to Scruby's. Nice two for one today. Smile.

We are both blessed with our children Sally. Lucky us.

Hugs...Jeanne

What a great idea to give $2 to the customers! That's like getting your drink for free. Food looks yummy too. I love those kinds of restaurants that serve good food at a great price. There was a little restaurant in my former hometown that was like that. Every time I took a date there, they raved about the place. Sadly, it caught fire and never re-opened.
