Pink Pipes

Precious Beverly at How Sweet the Sound hosts Pink Saturday. Please Pause at her Place to see Plenty of other Pretty Pink items that Precious Pink Participating People are Presently Presenting for your Perusing Pleasure.

Even though I've lived in Florida for over forty-five years, until I moved to the Tampa area, I don't believe I've seen giant Pink pipes sticking up out of the ground.

Here's a closer look.

These are water pipes! The picture below is from Tampa's water treatment plant where the Pink pipes are "born." I've learned that these pipe are called purple, which is the designated color for pipes carrying recycled or reclaimed water. However, I insist that they are Pink. What do you think?

See you in two days for Blue Monday!

Guess the color could be either one, depending on how your eyes were working that day. We will settle for pink today.

ooohhh let's just agree that it's pink :-) Maybe the person who painted it had a secret love for the color so he or she compromised - thus revealing a pinkish/purplish color LOL

Hello Sally! It's been a while since I blogged :-)And I see your new home is something to look forward to as work has already started.

Happy PInk Saturday!

We have those in CA too. They designate the reclaimed water, but we call them "purple" too. I'll go for pink!

"Reclaimed water" that is too cool, no pun intended.

I think all pipes should be painted pink - or maybe blue. No, they should be pink.

Happy Pink Saturday Sally, those darn pink pipes are just down right pretty. I wonder if a woman works there and decided the color. I mean if we are going to have pipes out in the open, should they look delightful? Love it. Thanks for sharing. Please stop by and let me share my PS post with you. Country hugs, Sherry

From far away they look pink, but up close more lavender. Interesting about the color's meaning. In the hospital, the purple gloves are worn for extra-dangerous things like delivering chemo, dealing w/ AIDS patients, etc. Maybe it's an international color for danger?

Blondie's Journal said...

Sorry. I think they are more lavender. And I think they should be painted green to blend in with the surroundings.

Happy Pink Saturday, Sally!!

I think they look lavender which, after all, is what happens when you add PINK to purple! Still, I think it's a cheerful little sight as you're driving down the road instead of something boring and pipe-colored!

Happy Pink Saturday!

Maybe a little in between? But they are unusual!

That is pink---but has a tint of 'lilac' in it (which makes it look a little purple).... ha ha

Hi Sally...that's a hoot. They look pink...except in your last pic...it looks a bit lavendarish there. In the first pic, they have a preppy look going on with the pink and green. I guess if you have to have exposed pipes...they might as well be stylish! :-)
I am going to participate in Blue Monday again one day. I only have one blue thing in my post for this Monday and it is so small (a plate) and so far away in the pic...that I don't think it would qualify for a good Blue Monday post. Happy Pink Saturday and Blue Monday!
