Pavers

We caught the workmen putting down the pavers for our new home and took this picture. If you look closely, you can see the dust coming up from the gentleman on the right using a power saw. Of course, clicking on the picture, gives you a nice close-up of the action.

Notice that the form boards are in place for the sidewalk to be poured. We also noticed that the all-important air conditioner has been installed.

Later in the week, we took the following pictures of the finished pavers, sidewalk, and stone trim.

Morning, Most Smiling One! Oh, I can tell you're really smiling big today! How pretty you new home is! I just love it. This is so exciting see your new home come together - we never built a home before. Now I love the soft color and trims and that transom window over the door - just perfect for the little birds to peek in to say hi! :)
Do you think the schedule will be met for December? Woo Hoo! What a Christmas gift.

I've always thought it would wonderful to have a house built for us. We bought a 20 year old house. It's the same kind that is "stamped" all over the Cape. I grew up in an "old" family home and loved it. There is just something about a nice new house though. Your house is looking great!

take care,
Dawn

I love the style of your new home and can hardly wait to see the finished product. I am not sure I would have the patience to build a house. Too many decisions for my old brain.

Happy Veterans Day to Johnny... tell him I took a picture of my sailor suit in honor of him, Uncle Bob, and of my precious neighbor, the late Captain Tom.

Hi Sally,
Your home is really coming along. I love all the jogs in it! I hope you will be very happy there! Thanks for for stopping by today. We actually lived in five yellow houses altogether. Our last house was yellow but it's hard to tell from the photo. Have a great week.

Blessings,

What a beautiful home you are having built. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a sweet comment.
I checked out one of your other blogs where you had listed all of the books you read this Spring and you mention that you really Christian fiction. I am right now joyously making my way through the Yada Yada Prayer Group series. My daughter-in-law and I are both reading it and we are loving it so much! I imagine you have read them already, haven't you. I also just finished a Reader's Digest Condensed version of "A Redbird Christmas" by Fanny Flagg. It is a wonderful story, full of human interest. It's my second time to read it, I love it so much. Wish I could discuss books with you.
Hugs, Cindy S.
