~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A few weeks ago, we took a trip to visit our daughter, son-in-law, and four grandchildren who live out of town. The firstborn, Caeli, had just turned nineteen, and we had a song to sing to her.
On the way, I noticed so many spots of blue. Of course, we saw some blue vehicles, like this truck.
Amongst the blue cars, I spotted this gorgeous, shiny blue motorcycle. Look at that blue sky!
Look! He's even dressed in blue with his blue shirt and blue jeans. LOL (It took me several shots to get this. I'm glad this fellow didn't seem to mind being photographed!)
There were many blue signs.
A visit to the Necessary Room is marked in blue.
Keeping us on track is marked with an important blue sign.
Oh, I hope we don't need this blue place anytime soon!
We saw plenty of places to stop to eat or sleep on blue signs like this one. Of course, we drove right on by. We had a destination in mind.
We bought our gasoline a tad cheaper: $2.63 a gallon. These prices can cause a person to become blue.
Look at this underpass made more beautiful with a blue mural.
Here's the birthday girl, dressed in blue with Johnny and me. There's a bit of blue in my shirt too. It's so wonderful being able to visit our daughter's family more often now that we've moved. We've managed to celebrate most birthdays in the past, but it took over six hours before we moved. Now, we're there in two hours.
I see blue (and pink)everywhere since doing these memes. How great that you can be more a part of your grandchildren's lives. I know how important my sister thinks that is for her kids.
Fun blue pictures. You are closer to your kids than we are to ours. Even though we were just in Florida visiting our kids, I miss them so already. I recognize the I-75 sign. See those in Fort Myers too. Actually we have driven I-75 between Tampa and Fort Myers, because sometimes we fly into Tampa and rent a car and drive down. Sounds like you had a great trip!
Good morning Sally. Interesting blue and I especially love your photo. Happy birthday to Caeli. She is a very pretty girl.
I also loved the underpass with the blue art work. Amazing.
Sally, I cannot post anything today. Typepad is showing some weird icons and the only thing I can do is ask them for help. I did that. Sigh. How frustrating this is. I had pre-posted several days ahead when I was in FL. Now nothing.
Thank you for your comment about the gators being 12/0. We are thrilled and the game was terrific. We are lucky to have these season tickets. Now they would cost much more and we are grandfathered in. FSU and gators are not a good mix. Laughing here. I am glad your grands are going to UF. In my opinion both colleges are excellent for a good education.
I'll post later if typepad solves my problem. Beverly tried to help me and now her site is doing the same thing as mine. What a mess.
I am so happy you are able to be closer to your loved ones. This is a wonderful move for you.
Hugs xoxo, Jeanne
Sally, I love your picture with your cute granddaughter! She is adorable, and I hope she had a great birthday. You all look SO happy! Love it! :-)
I tried to stay awake to post last night, and I actually fell asleep in my chair with my neck down! I finally limped on and got my name on the list, but I have no idea what time it was. I just signed on and went straight to bed! LOL! I'm just getting online now. I went down my list on my blog, and now I need to do the list over here. I'm tired! LOL!
Got a lot of shopping done yesterday. I was happy! Mr. Magpie is feeling better finally for which I'm grateful. As much as I missed being with our godchildren, I am also grateful we didn't go to NC because I think it would have worn both of us out. Being a caregiver is tiring, too. And now I'm a good way into my shopping, and I need to go get some things today. But I wanted to try and visit as much as possible beforehand.
This is long, so I will end. I'm so very happy for you that you get to see your family more frequently. That is wonderful! It puts an even brighter smile on your beautiful, sweet face. :-)
Sending much love your way...
XO,
Sheila :-)
Great new banner for the season.
We got gas for 2.39 but didn't see any lovely under the overpass paintings, trees soften the concrete scene. Nice photo of good times together.
How I wished we had a blue sky to view, but I'm afraid that won't be for quite sometime, cause the winter RAIN is upon the PNW. The mural under the overpass was something I'd not seen before. I wondered if someone was commissioned to paint it or if it was a wandering graffiti artist. Thanks for the tour. Best wishes to the Birthday Girl!
Sweet Holiday Wishes,
