Come join in.You may remember when I shared about my new rental and the pretty plant I placed by the door. I asked Blogland to identify it for me, and Mrs. Magpie told me that it is an Anthurium. Well, it looked a bit lonely to me.
Since I love palms, I decided that there was a perfect spot on the porch for an Areca palm.
The little porch looks so much better with the plant and the palm sitting in their matching red pots. They DO match, but the film doesn't show that.
See how happy they look? Think of the money we'll save by buying small and growing it ourselves.
Why, by the time my house is done, the palm may be six or seven feet tall! LOL

By the way, I can't believe what a beautiful job the repairman did restoring your cabinet. He is truly a master craftsman and you were lucky to find him.

I love your new header! It is stunning and I think your new garden entrance is looking very good. My mother always grew anthirriums as a glamourous indorr plant. I m pleased you are settling in.

Hi Sally, I love palms . I have one but I don't know the name of it.I know it sure has some sharp stickers on it ! I bring it in the winter.It sure is a slow grower !

I love having plants near the door, it's very welcoming to visitors. That palm tree will be great in your new yard. You'll have to let us know how big it is when you transplant it.

Your plants/tree look very inviting in front of your door. I know you are already decorating your new home in your head. I always did that and we have built 4 new homes in the past.
