~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This past Friday the world experienced an exciting event.
Kate Middleton and Prince William were married April 29th.
Remember how beautiful she looked in her blue engagement dress? William also chose to wear a blue suit.
Here's a close-up of that gorgeous sapphire blue engagement ring.
Did you see the wedding? I did! Yep, I got up at 4 am.
I noticed plenty of Blue.
Carole Middleton, the mother of the bride, wore Sky Blue.
Camilla, the wife of Prince Charles, father of the groom, wore a soft shade of Blue.
Best man Prince Harry’s girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, wore Aqua Blue.
Victoria Beckham wore a Navy Blue outfit.
Why, even the groom wore a bit of Blue.
Here's my pick for the best use of color: Royal Blue.
Isn't long-term friend of Prince William, socialite, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson stunning?
Happy Blue Monday!
Another Use for Your Lawnmower
In Britain, summer means lawn mower racing. An amazing fifty-six teams entered this race last weekend to win a twelve-hour race. They even drove through the night!
One enthusiatic gentleman predicted, "The bumps are really going to be the worst part of it." Matt Jones, the winner of the prestigious race, surprised me when he stated, " That's it! Never again!"
Click on the window to see a short snippet (1:29) of the race.
How about it? Is this something you would participate in?
  • Would you be the driver?
  • Part of the crew?
  • A spectator?
New Sport
They have a cheese rolling tradition in Britain. Click on the window to witness 2008's sporting event.
Watch for the circle of cheese, rolling down the hill, while everyone goes after it. I can't figure out why they run UP the hill, though.
Cheese sandwiches, anyone?
Say, should we start a cheese rolling tradition here in Florida?
