*****In two weeks, Blue Monday will celebrate its fifth Blogiversary! That's right. On the first Monday in September, 2008, I began Blue Monday.

I plan to celebrate with
balloons, cake,  and flowers--all blue, of course! Perhaps you'll be able to think of something blue and join in for the fifth Blogiversary. *****

Recently, my daughter took one of her daughters and a friend to see The Ringling, which occupies sixty-six acres on the shores of Sarasota Bay, Florida. It contains the John and Mable Museum of Art and Ca'D'Zan, "House of John," which is seen here in the background. It's John and Mable's winter mansion. This shot is the walk toward the house mansion.

Debi, my daughter (on the left) and Ara, my granddaughter posed for me. In this photo, you can get a peek at the Blue sky.

Here's a better look at that Blue sky. It was a glorious day.

Notice the intricate brick work. The tower held the game room.

The Museum of Art is seen in the background. It features masterpieces by Rubens, Veronese, Velazquez, and Gainsborough. It was designed in the Renaissance style and opened to the public in 1931.

This fountain is located in the courtyard of the museum, which is seen to the left.

The tall palms announce a special treat placed in the courtyard.

Located in the courtyard of the museum is a replica of the statue of David, which is made of bronze and is three feet higher than the original, located in Italy.

This is the only replica of David that we have in America.

Happy Blue Monday!
