Happy Blue Monday!


On the 45th day of my hospital stay, I present a picture of Johnny who’s my most faithful supporter. He has spent most nights with me. He has stayed by my bedside.

During this past month and a half, we have celebrated his birthday, Father’s Day, and our 53rd wedding anniversary.

Johnny and I fit. Everyone at the hospital has noticed how dedicated he is, and so today I salute, Johnny.

Tomorrow I will be transfered to a rehab center where
my recovery can progress.

Blue Monday - Gloves

My Granddaughter, Brittany, worked on this with me.

It has been 38 days since this mess began. I have been out of ICU for 4 days and I see these blue gloves often.

I appreciate the prayers and comments bloggers have made for me. For some reason God wants me to live.

Blue Monday - Something Borrowed, Something Blue

Thank you everyone for keeping Smiling Sally in your prayers! She is doing much better this week. Although still in ICU, she is now entirely off the oxygen and is also talking! We have been reading your comments to her.

This Blue Monday will be hosted by Smiling Sally's youngest grandaughter, Ara. The picture above is of the beautiful blue balloons that were given in celebration of her 53rd wedding anniversary! Also shown is a picture taken at Sally and Johnny's wedding, which was on July 7th, 1958.

Thank you for continuing to read and thank you for continuing to pray! Tomorrow, I will take my laptop to the hospital so that Sally can read your comments. We look forward to hearing from all of you.

Blue Monday- Sally has Style!

Hello Blue Monday followers and fans! This Blue Monday blog will be brought to you by Smiling Sally's wonderful granddaughter, Jenna. :) I decided to put up a picture of me and my beautiful grandmother before her surgeries. As you can see in the picture Smiling Sally is sporting a stylish blue shirt! My family and I thank all of you for your prayers and comments from the last blog. Your compassion and care for my grandma is highly appreciated and has helped all of us through this hard time. Smiling Sally is doing great! She is breathing on her own now and responding well to us. Please keep her in your prayers, lets hope she heals soon! Thanks for reading.
