~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We had a super Thanksgiving Day. As I mentioned last week, we drove to Gainesville where our daughter, son-in-law, and four grandchildren live. It was a real treat to be with them on this special day. Here's a picture of our beautiful daughter and our handsome son-in-law. They're both wearing Blue. Michael is wearing an Auburn shirt; he graduated from Auburn, and he LOVED the results of the Iron Bowl.
My daughter's oldest, Caeli, is quite an artist. She drew this as a pencil sketch and put it on Facebook. When I saw it, I told her to frame it. So, she drew one for me! Of course, she colored it my favorite color, Blue. Am I pleased? You bet! I plan to hang it in our home.
Here's Our granddaughters Ara and Caeli, who is holding her new dog, Quin. Quin is such a sweet dog; she fits right into the family. (I don't think she likes getting her picture taken! See her face turned?) Both of the girls are wearing Blue.
Our son-in-law, Michael, has just purchased this vintage car--a 1971 Oldsmobile Cutless. Most of the guys have on something Blue.
Vintage cars have a special Blue tag. (Caeli photo shopped out the number for me.)
Johnny took a spin with Zachary (seen standing) dressed in Blue jeans.
This is a shot of Pierce, the youngest. He's 15 and able to drive that Cutless. (That's why he's smiling!) Johnny and I are happily digesting that huge Thanksgiving meal we just finished. Of course, I'm in Blue.
Finally, Zachary, has two chickens that he keeps for eggs. Mmm, fresh eggs. Here's one of them pretending to be a football. Notice, please, Zachary's Blue shorts and shoes.
Happy Blue Monday!
Slow today as I took advantage of this beautiful day. Dug myself out of the leaves in front and side yard. Going to wait on the back until all the leaves have fallen. I enjoyed seeing your family today. That young lady is a very talented artist. Love the bird.
Hello Sally
Sorry to be so late this week, we're down at the beach without internet but we do have sun - I guess we can't have it all?!
Looks like you had a fabulous Thanksgiving all together. My crazy poodle would like to say a quick hello to your family's gorgeous new camera shy dog and then he'd like to chase the chicken!
Have a lovely week
Lovely photos of your family, holidays are so special. I like the egg-laying chicken football, I have eggsactly that topic on my post. I admire so much people who can stylize drawings, I just draw what I see. I like the swirls of the body and the fancy stylized feathers.
Hi Sally, Boy I am late visiting today. We were busy getting caught up today after being gone for so long. I am in charge of our garden club Christmas celebration luncheon coming up soon, so I haven't stopped all day (except for a nap)
I truly love your post with the photos you shared. Your whole family is so beautiful and handsome. Smart too, a family to be so proud of for sure. We rooted for Auburn too. a great game.
The antique car is great fun and I love the red. Lucky guy. The chicken/football is the cutest photo. But my favorite was you and Johnny and your beautiful happy face. What a happy Thanksgiving day for your family.
Happy Blue Monday,
Love,
Jeanne
Sally, I have a favor to ask you. Two of your posters dropped by to see me, and for some reason, I am not able to leave comments on their blogs. They use Google Plus and I don't, but I don't think that's the problem because I visit other people who have it just fine. But could you tell them that I have tried to leave comments and can't?
The bloggers are Shira and also the Wandering Wren. I didn't want them to think I was being rude. I had thought I would get more visiting in, it I had to go to another funeral, and it sort of mushroomed from there.
Thanks for any assistance on this. It might be my IPAD, but. I think it is so etching with both girls' blogs. Because even though this is wonky when it comes to respelling words if I hit a funky key, I can still visit other friends who have blogs so I don't know.
Love,
Sheila xoxoxox
