I like to celebrate Thanksgiving the entire month of November, don't you? That's the reason for my new header.

One thing I'm thankful for are bloggers who leave comments for me. It's quite encouraging. Many ask how I'm doing. Well a week ago Sunday, I was able to go to Sunday School AND church for the first time! Up until then, I'd only been able to go to church. Yesterday, I was able to repeat this feat. I am so thrilled to be making progress.

Johnny and I have seven grandchildren. Our daughter has four--two girls and two boys; our son has three girls. Caeli (pronounced Kay-Lee) is the firstborn of our daughter. She recently turned twenty-one and wore a Blue shirt on her birthday. She posed for a picture while holding the card we sent her.




Jeanne at Backyard Neighbor, a Gator fan, will find it interesting to learn that
Caeli attends University of Florida, where she makes straight A's.

During a Ping-Pong game, one of the contestants accidentally swallowed the ball. The ambulance came and sped him to the hospital, where he was quickly rushed into the operating room.

When he recovered after the operation, he noticed a dozen scars all over his body, some on his chest, some on his stomach.

"Why did you cut me in so many places?' he asked the doctor.

"That's the way the ball bounces," answered the surgeon.

I was in an Old Time Pottery store a couple of weeks ago and noticed that their shelves are loaded with Christmas stuff! Of course, I particularly noticed the Blue items and started snap, snapping away.

There were many more Blue Christmas items to see, but a nice man asked me not to take pictures, so I stopped shooting. I suppose he thought I was a SPY(!) or something.

At the time, I hadn't even bought my Halloween candy! Isn't it too soon for Christmas?

Look what we saw when driving down the road--an angry, giant, Blue gorilla! He's supposed to be selling window tint, but I suspect most folks would be apprehensive about shopping at THAT store.




Just look at the size of him, and he's reaching out to passing cars with his enormous, Blue arms.

Hmm . . . He looks familiar to me.

I have two Blue topics to share today. The first is my grandson and Legoland, Florida. Here's Pierce, on the right, wearing a Blue hat, with his buddy, Ben. They're both Lego-NUTS. Note all the other Blue Lego items in the background.

Legoland opens October 15th; however, these fortunate guys got to go to the preview opening! Need I say they had a blast!





My second Blue is about Columbus Day. A U.S. national holiday since 1937, Columbus Day commemorates the arrival of Christopher Columbus in the New World on October 12, 1492. Please notice all the shades of Blue.




Columbus day is a public holiday in many parts of the United states, but it is not observed in some states. Government offices and schools are generally closed, but businesses may be open. The flag of the United States is displayed on Government buildings. Here's a statue of Columbus. Look at that Blue sky.



There are parades and of course, many businesses have Columbus Day sales. If interested, look here for more information.
