Pink Saturday - Houses & Trees

Beverly at how sweet the sound hosts Pink Saturday. If you'd like to jump on the bandwagon, click on the pink lady to the left. Here's what I've found to share with you this week.

Living in South Florida, it's not unusual to see a pink house. Here's one not too far from where I live. Notice please: the roof is pink, the house is pink, the trim is pink, even the pavers in the driveway are pink. I think it's beautiful and a perfect color for South Florida living.

I thought I'd include a couple of pictures of our pink crape myrtle tree in our backyard. These shots were taken the end of June; the tree was spectacular this year.

Thursday I hit post number 100. Keeping with the custom of Blogland, I have a giveaway. Check it out.

Your pictures make me homesick. The house we lived in when I was a teenager was pink, but our tile roof was white.

Happy Pink Saturday.

And, go Dolphins!!!

First of all Sweet Smiling Pink One, let me congratulate you on your 100th post! Woo Hoo! Clap clap! Love the Pink house ~ it's a beauty! Now those crepe mrytles looks very beautiful. I have a couple and I don't think they like me ~ they don't bloom very much!
Now, isn't that something about the tern 'what nots'. I'm from the deep south, Alabama, as well as my family. I have done some genealogy searching and have most coming from Virginia and then to the south. I love the term any way, but Sally, I ain't no Yankee!! You know I love ya!!
Be a Pink sweetie,

Those beautiful stucco houses always make me smile. I've been to Florida just twice and both times I've had my husband drive me around some of the neighborhoods to admire the architecture and color palette.

Sally, I too lived in So. Fl and then Central Fl. Houses can be any color and we did have a pink house in our neighborhood. A two story
Boca style with the two story window in front. It was very much like our home. Ours would never be pink. Such is life in the sub tropics. Your trees were stunning. Think pink!

P.S. Loved the video in the previous post. I had never given any thought to the flyovers, but it is really pretty amazing how much time goes into that!

The pink house is adorable!

And to answer your question about the boat's name.....it used to be called "The Julia Belle Swain "
unless they changed it.

I'd love to peek in the windows of that pink house...I wonder if there are pink rooms in there.

Maybe it has something to do with the warm weather, the pink houses I mean. We see pink down here in the southwest too oddly enough.

Thanks for reading my haiku. Although how embarrassing for me I looked at it realized my syllables are off and had to fix them.

Sleep need more sleep. :)

What a gorgeous *pink* house! We have some *pink* houses around our area, but not many, and not like that! They are usually little tiny houses, that are very sweet.

Beautiful crape myrtle too!

Congrats on your 100th post!
