Janet hosts Friday Fill-ins here. If you'd like to play along, come and check it out.
1. Follow the Son.
2. Reading material is something I always take with me on vacation.
3. To achieve your goals, you must work hard, sacrifice much, and love more.
4. That at age 45, I lived out my childhood dream of becoming a classroom teacher is something I'd like you to know about me. I began college after my children were grown and married. If I can do it....
5. I have a twin brother. He never reads my blog.
6. Ivory Soap floats. At least that's what they tell me.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to a relaxing evening, reading my book; tomorrow my plans include blogging, reading my book, church; and Sunday, I want to enjoy small group, blog, finish my book, and read some of the newspaper!

Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)

How wonderful you were able to begin teaching in your mid 40's. Twins run in my family. My Mom was a twin.
Love these fill-ins and getting to know more about you! :) Enjoy the weekend.
Wow, I applaud you for going back to school and becoming a teacher after your kids were all grown. That is truly a feat! You should be very proud of yourself!
I think there is a tribe of people somewhere who worship Ivory Soap because of its magic floating properties.
Great answers. #1 is perfect! Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks for stopping by -- I'm impressed with your going-back-to-college story.

Hi Sally,
I loved your answers and especially number one. I see we are planning on doing the same thing this evening LOL Have a wonderful weekend!
Great fill-ins. Yes, Ivory soap does float. Do they still make it? We used to shave it and add it to the washing machine too.
What a great weekend it sounds like is in store...very relaxing. I liked your #4....I wish I could do that....I just feel too old now. Have a great weekend.
Fun answers! I had no idea you had a twin brother! Why doesn't he read your blog? Or is he just not computer and Internet savvy like you?! :)
Have a great day!
Thanks for stopping by my new blog!
I agree 100% with your #1!
And I also agree with #3
That's cool that you're a twin and you pursued teaching after you were older
Have a great weekend!
No 3 is right on!
Also the Ivory Soap, I agree and like it, I especially remember it always being on the kitchen sink and the smell of it.
Awesome you became a teacher!
You're #4 is a testament to your #3! All great things!! Have a wonderful reading weekend, I'll be doing the same thing!
A twin brother? Too Cool!
Have a great weekend.
I'm with you on #2, always have a book or two (and probably a magazine or three) with me when I travel (or goto the dr's office or anywhere else you're made to wait). Congratulations on achieving your dream! Inspiring. How many people can say that? (and mean it...)
Yay for everyone who isn't afraid to go back to school no matter how old they are and whether it's the first time or the 5th. They make good people!
Thanks for stopping by!
Congratulations on #4!!!!! I went back to school part-time when my little one started first grade. He's now in fifth grade and I'm still going. It's a slow process.
Congratulations on your #4. That is really impressive.
Enjoy your weekend.
Hi Sally, My grandmother was a twin and I am a twin..I had a twin brother who died at 6 hours old due to a heart problem. If we had been born in this age of time, his heart could have been fixed...I often wonder what he would have been like??? we were born 2 months early..I weighted 3 pounds and look at me now...thanks for sharing with us..
Hugs, Baba

It's neat how you always manage to fill in the answers so well.
blogging is definitely on my weekend list tooooo :)
What are we without our dreams? My mother went back to college when I turned sixteen. She became the technical services librarian for the Arizona State Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped and did a lot of work with the Library of Congress. She also used to say, "If I can do it...."
Hi Sally,
Your posts are always so nice to read. You have such a mellow, hopeful tone to your writing. It's inspiring to read that you achieved your childhood dream. I am currently on the path to becoming a teacher (Secondary Ed English). I can't wait to get into the classroom!
Have a great weekend.
What great answers!! I like 1 & 2 especially.
I love that your twin respects your internet space :)
Awesome answers! I love #4 and also love #5 but I might be biased as the mom of b/g twins. LOL Happy Friday!
Sally, I think it is admirable that you lived your lifelong dream. I'm hoping one day to conquer this crippling depression and finish my PhD.
As for your brother, neither of my siblings read my blog either-Perhaps, they know it all already! :)
a twin! never had friends who are twins yet...
TGIF! Enjoy your weekend!
Here's mine... thanks!!
I thought I starting teacher late (in my early 30's). I feel like it will be forever before I retire.

Congrats, Sally. What grade do you teach? And no. 1, follow the Son is clever, loved it.
Wow, a twin? That would be nice if I also had one :) Happy weekend Sally :)
Is it even possible to go on vacation without a book...dang my head would explode. And if my brothers ever read my blog I would die of shock! I had a hard time just getting my mom to read it! I laughed about your "autograph" comment...and no you can't but I'll let you look at the autographed picture of George Clooney I won hehehe Thanks for stopping by as always.
Nice answers... and that's neat that you have a twin brother.
Have a great weekend!

Hi Thanks for visiting.
Grandma always bought Ivory & it really does float.
They fluff it up so it has little bubbles of air in it.
Have a great weekend.
How in the world can you be lonely with 53 (now, 54) comments?! It's so great you became a teacher at 45!
I'm so happy for you that you've been realising that dream.
