Breakfast Special

We went to breakfast at a restaurant where the "Seniors' Special" was two eggs, bacon, hash browns, and toast for $2.99.

"Sounds good," my wife said. "But I don't want any eggs."

"Then, I'll have to charge you $3.49 because you're ordering a la carte," the waitress warned her.

"You mean I'd have to pay for not taking the eggs?' my wife asked incredulously.

"Yes!" stated the waitress.

"I'll take the special then." my wife said.

"How do you want your eggs?" the waitress asked.

"Raw and in the shell," my wife replied. She took the two eggs home.

DON'T MESS WITH SENIORS!

This totally happened to me once, except it was not the senior citizen special.

Crazy, I tell you. Crazy. Just a reminder how wasteful we are sometimes. (Not we, as in you and I) but socitey as a whole.

Hey Sally, a story was just posted in our Sunday Paper's "Bulletin Board" about a similar situation. I think that you would enjoy the St. Paul Pioneer Press's Bulletin Board. Readers submit cute little stories and anecdotes. http://www.twincities.com/bulletinboard ~ Robyn

I am trying to catch up on all my reading and following blogs and I had to comment on this one, it is way to funny and reminds me so much of my father-in-law and his wife...I used to wait on tables and these were some of the things that would happen...I love Seniors, they are the funnest people to be around, have the best sense of humor and can make you laugh until you wet your pants.

Loved it!!!!
