Gollum at Designs by Gollum is hosting a Foodie Friday.
Go to her place to join in the fun!
One of my husband's favorite restaurants is Scruby's Bar-B-Q. They have a great way of bringing in happy customers. If you are seated before 12:00 noon, each person will receive $2.00. In addition, they have daily specials.
Their menu shows that their prices are reasonable, and I can vouch that the food and service are terrific.
Johnny ordered a pork plate. It came with sliced pork, cole slaw, french fries, and garlic bread--all for $6.79. However, the day we went, it was the daily special, and it cost $5.59. The giant drink is $2.00 and is refillable.
It's a good idea for these hard economic times! On Monday, I'll show you what I had!
I can taste it from here Sally! Seeing that plate reminds me of my favorite BBQ joint back home in Kansas City. It's called Arthur Bryants. Yummo! What a drink that is too LOL! Have a great day my friend.
That's a twist -- a restaurant that gives you money!
I haven't found good BBQ in SC -- I miss the BBQ in TX.
That is very unusual. Bet it gets them lots of business so it is probably pretty clever!
What a fun idea and the food looks delicious!
P.s. I lost your email address. Will you send it to me again at firstname.lastname@example.org? Thanks!
Good Morning Sally

Sally, that does it. I've been looking at food posts, and I'm officially starving! Got to run go get something. My fridge is bear...
Very clever way of giving something back to the customer and the food looks delicious. I wish we had a Scruby's Bar-B-Q in our area. Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
What a Deal; getting paid to eat out! Scruby's must be a local place and not a chain; I've never heard of them before.
Does the food taste as good as it looks? I love eating out!
It looks good Sally! And the prices aren't bad at all...happy Friday ♥
Boy, that looks so good, makes me want to run out for BBQ.
I think that restaurant has good marketing people. Those perks keep folks coming.
YUM...that looks delicious. What a neat place to give you $2.00!!
That's indeed very reasonable for such a meal !
They actually give you $2! Wow...that's incentive to go there for that reason alone! BBQ is one of my favorite foods ever...just sometimes hard to find a good place to eat it.
Sally, my dh would love that pork plate. I usually order BBQ beef sandwich or ribs. This is making me hungry for BBQ. Too bad I can't go to Scruby's. Nice two for one today. Smile.
We are both blessed with our children Sally. Lucky us.
Thank you for sharing, This restaurant will stay in business for sure giving good food and service!!! WOW!! You have one of the most pleasant blogs, and I always look forward to your Spiritual Sunday post, because I know I will get something good and uplifting!!!! You are a jewel!!
Great prices especially with the $2 off. Are they just local, or are there others around the country? Sally

Wow Sally... what a great way to please people and also serve good food..Have a fun week-end. Baba
Wow that yummy food AND $2, that's my kind of place. It reminds me of a BBQ place I used to go to in Boyton Beach (can't remember the name to save my life right now.)
Do they make blue fries and blue coleslaw? I'm curious to see what you ate!
That does look yummy!
oh no...now I want some barbecue...I will have to get some tomorrow!
Wow! That is one good looking plate of food! :) And what great incentives for the customers...pay you to eat there! LOL! Can't wait to see what you ordered...it has to be blue, but what could it be??? LOL!
Have a great weekend! ~hugs, Rhonda :)
That is really neat, Sally. I can see why your husband likes that restaurant so much. Great food and money back!
What a great idea to give $2 to the customers! That's like getting your drink for free. Food looks yummy too. I love those kinds of restaurants that serve good food at a great price. There was a little restaurant in my former hometown that was like that. Every time I took a date there, they raved about the place. Sadly, it caught fire and never re-opened.
Mmm...now I'm hungry!
I love the BBQ and the cole slow, and yours look yummy! I am also hungry now. :)
After being good and eating a low fat yogurt for breakfast - I'm now dying for some BBQ!
